So i'm the entrepreneur behind Primarch Studio, no skillz what so ever but i head up a team of real pros and master craftsmen. So one day i was like, hey what if their skillz rubbed off on me? So this is me trying my hand at assembly and paint. These are literally first tries guys so be nice. How did I do? These dudes are to my unique mercenary space marines chapter based off the blood angels, They use old eldar rune magic and don't need power everything. Their genes are cleans my friends and their 1 heart is good enough for them! because it's a heart of gold! No skulls here either they celebrate killing only to promote life and financial gain. True mercenaries i give you my veteran squad of the Runic Knights!

Based of the Blood Angels you say? Are you going to use the BA codex or the usual marine dex as for rules?

I really want to see more as this project comes along!

going off of the codex, plasma and such will be essentially the same as ball of glowing magical energy. It's based off of runes so the more powerful a dude is the less actual armor he has on, totally going for a rpg mini librarian esc look on the chapter master and chapy's.

I don't like that block behind your Fav's left shoulder... I don't know what it is supposed to be and it looks a little awkward.
Otherwise I really like them, especially the power fist guy.

That helm is for the Tzeentch Aspiring Champion from the new Chaos Marine box by the looks of it... but without the horns though

and the block behind my fav is a sheild i need to greenstuff a emblem on it but i'm not quite green stuff worthy as my lead assembler put it, which means i need tyo buy my own green stuff i think he is a little sore still about me using some of his rare bits lol.

this is just some fig that was laying around, i painted it and i think this is the jist of what i wanna do for paint theme. glowing from the joints and runes.

i would have to say i really like the effect. i was wondering thought if you could try it on a model that isnt going to be all silver(hopefully). im betting that effect will look awsome, but right now its kinda getting overpowered by the shiny-ness. maybe its just the picture..idk

oh, and the conversion look awsome. very random looking for the armor. like they all bought/stole stuff at different times i like it!

For the paintjob - ditch the bright silver - there's not enough contrast for the shiny blue joint thing to show up - do a more subtle metallic colouring, black base with boltgun metal drybrushing, maybe drybrush up to silver, but don't paint straight silver, you're oponents will need shades to play !

Practise makes perfect, or so I'm told - I'm still wondering how many more decades I have to keep practising for to get it right....

GS work isnt as bad as you put it, its pretty good.

like the effect, a little bit of watered down blue ink would make that blend alot better.
